We would like to introduce you to some cyclist-friendly cafes recommended by our staff.
This time, we visited Cafe5884, located right next to Koganei Park in Tokyo.
Cafe 5884 is located just a two-minute walk from the Edo Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum in Koganei Park, Tokyo.
The street in front of the store is lined with cherry blossoms in spring, making it a very pleasant place to walk.
The store has a wall-mounted bike rack available.
(If you would like to use the bicycle rack, please speak to the owner, Mr. Kobayashi, before using it.)
The restaurant has counter seats (3 seats) and table seats (3 seats for 2 people each).
In pleasant weather, you can also sit on the outdoor terrace.
(Pets are allowed on the outdoor terrace.)
You can enjoy your meal in peace while checking out the bicycles from the counter seats.
Hawaiian music plays comfortably in the store. The owner, Mr. Kobayashi, is fascinated by Hawaii and selects the music to suit his mood of the day.
The meals are 100% plant-based and vegan-friendly.
The rice is brown rice with red beans, which is healthy for the body.
Dry curry (500 yen) and ginger coffee (600 yen) Ginger coffee, characterized by its hot and spicy taste, is so delicious you'll become addicted to it.
Loco Moco Style (500 yen) and Plum Soda (500 yen)
The plum soda was exceptionally delicious, soothing my tired body.
Due to my preconceived notion of vegan food, I imagined it would have a light taste, but contrary to my expectations, it was very delicious and had a rich flavor that you wouldn't expect from a vegan food. I was also impressed by the robust flavor of the salads and other dishes.
We also recommend the "Today's 5884 Plate (900 yen)," which comes with this main dish, pickles, several side dishes, and miso soup.
The owner, Kobayashi-san, loves Hawaii.
I felt that the warm, soft and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant came from Kobayashi.
